Hagrid is a sable & white Chin (red-and-white with black hairs scattered through the red). He has a regal, WORLD class head, large and broad with fine eyes and a broad, symmetrical blaze. He was born 10/16/2006, bred by Judy Shaffer of Sensei Japanese Chin in Erie, PA. His sire was imported from Russia by Karen Hoffman of Tanzen Chin. His dam was bred by Bill and Peggy Schnarrenberger of Randalet Japanese Chin. Please scroll down to see his pedigree.

Hagrid is very sweet and playful, but he is visibly bored by dog shows. Judy showed him to 14 points including a major. Suzanne Warfield 'finished' his championship by showing him to a 4-point major win at W. Friendship, MD on 10/10/2009.

Hagrid's eyes and heart are OFA-certified healthy (2009). Many poorly bred Chin die before they are 10 years old of hereditary heart disease. We get our Chins' hearts certified healthy every year.

Hagrid's patellas are average for a Chin - grade 1 and grade 2 luxation. He weighs about 9 lb., depending on his level of activity. He is AKC DNA profiled.

Hagrid and Myrtle had 2 gorgeous sable girl puppies on May 18, 2010. We will post puppy pics on Myrtle's page every couple of weeks. We are keeping one puppy to show. One will be available to adopt after August 1st.
